Twirl, Tradition, Tennessee
The Pride Majorettes are a signature part of the Tennessee game day tradition, known for their athleticism, precision twirling, and dynamic performances. From pregame to halftime, they play a visible role in creating the excitement and energy of Pride performances.
The majorettes have been part of the University of Tennessee’s game day traditions in some form since 1937, when plans were formalized for a co-ed drill team to perform alongside the band. For decades, majorettes have brought spirit, showmanship, and visual energy to Tennessee football Saturdays, becoming one of the most recognizable symbols of Pride.

Movement Meets Tradition
The Pride Color Guard is an essential part of the game day experience, bringing artistry, athleticism, and visual impact to every performance. Through flag, rifle, dance, and choreography, members enhance each halftime production and help bring the music to life on the field. From pregame traditions to dynamic halftime moments, the Color Guard helps create the energy, precision, and pageantry that define Pride.
