Auditions Overview
Find your place in the sound of Tennessee.
Students from across the University of Tennessee have the opportunity to participate in UT Bands. Each ensemble and performance unit has its own audition process, and students from all majors are welcome to audition.
Concert Bands
Auditions for the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Symphonic Band are heard by the instrumental conducting faculty and applicable studio faculty.
Pride of the Southland Marching Band
Pride auditions determine placement in wind and percussion sections for the 415-member ensemble.
Drumline
The Drumline performs in the stands at all home games in Neyland stadium and travels with the band to all of the away games throughout the season.
Majorettes
Majorette auditions showcase years of solo twirling expertise, traditional technique, and the ability to blend within a top collegiate line.
Color Guard
The UT Color Guard auditions assess flag technique, dance ability, and performance presence.
Pep Bands
Participation in the Pep Bands is open to all current UT Students with seasonal auditions.
