Concert Bands
UT’s concert bands offer students the opportunity to perform challenging repertoire, develop their musicianship, and be part of a strong tradition of ensemble excellence.
Pride of the Southland Marching Band
For more than 150 years, the Pride of the Southland has energized Neyland Stadium and carried forward a tradition of musical excellence at the University of Tennessee.

From packed arenas to postseason tournaments, UT Pep Bands bring the sound and spirit of Tennessee to athletic events throughout the year.

We are the 3rd oldest collegiate band program in the US.
Historic Performances
Besides representing the State of Tennessee in 15 Presidential inaugurations (a record unmatched by any civilian organization), the band has appeared at over 50 bowl games in the last 50 years.

National Stages
UT Concert Bands have performed at conferences for leading organizations including the American Bandmasters Association, College Band Directors National Association, National Band Association, and NAfME, in addition to appearances in major concert halls across the country.
