Applied Music Lessons
Registration
In order to take applied music lessons, students must audition for the College of Music and be accepted as a major or minor. Some areas take elective students; please email the Area Coordinator to inquire.
To audition for the College of Music, please see the information on the Admissions page. Once you have auditioned and been accepted into the program, you may register for applied music lessons the same way you register for other classes.
To register for the correct course, students should look for their instrument and studio professor under Music Performance (MUPF) listings in the Schedule of Classes. In areas in which there is more than one professor and no professor has been assigned, students should register for the professor they prefer, then check with the Area Coordinator for specific assignments during the first week of classes. It is not a problem to change sections if needed.
Each professor will post a schedule of lesson times no later than Wednesday of the second week of classes. Check with the Area Coordinator if you need additional information.
