Friday, March 14

Guests will not be permitted to utilize the parking lot directly behind the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center (Staff lot 23) for conference parking on Friday, March 14. We have arranged a discounted $10 daily rate for conference guests who use the Volunteer Hall Garage at 1545 White Ave., Knoxville, TN 37916. The Volunteer Hall Garage is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center.

In order to utilize the discounted conference rate, you will need to first pick up a printed QR code from the registration table in the atrium of the Music Center. If registration is not yet open, please go to the Music Office (room 117) to ask for the printed QR code. You may also drop off your instrument at the Music Center while you proceed to park your vehicle in the Volunteer Hall Garage. Please present your QR code to the parking lot attendant upon entry. The attendant will scan the QR code and complete payment when you depart for the day. The attendant will remain at the lot until 11 p.m., after which time the reduced conference rate will no longer be honored, and a $2 hourly rate paid via their mobile app will be implemented. Directions on paying with the mobile app are posted in the garage.

Conference guests are also welcome to utilize visitor parking (self-paid at a $2 hourly rate) at various locations around campus detailed on Parking Services’ website.

Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16

Parking Services allows free parking for music events in Staff Lot 23 on weekends. Please note that, due to baseball games scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, and 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, it would be advisable to park your vehicle by 8:30 a.m. and remain parked for the entire day. If you leave your parking space, it will likely be unavailable when you return due to a heavy volume of traffic in the area.

If you would like to avoid the gameday traffic around the Music Center/Staff Lot 23, you are welcome to utilize the paid parking option at the Volunteer Hall Garage detailed above. If proceeding with this option, please request additional QR codes at your initial check-in on Friday.
