Biography

Originally from Boise, Idaho, Professor Jennifer George is an active orchestral musician who has performed with ensembles across the United States. She joined the Knoxville Symphony in 2022 after spending six seasons as a tenured member of the Naples Philharmonic (2016–2022). She also performs regularly with leading orchestras throughout the Southeast, including the Nashville Symphony, the Louisville Orchestra, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

During her time with the Naples Philharmonic, Jennifer collaborated with distinguished conductors such as Andrey Boreyko, Alexander Shelley, Jack Everly, and Roberto Abbado. She also spent several summers as a core second violinist with the Charlottesville Opera.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Vanderbilt University, where she studied with Dr. Carolyn Huebl, and her Master of Music degree from Florida State University, where she studied with Dr. Benjamin Sung. She also participated in the Brevard Music Center, National Repertory Orchestra, and the Aspen Music Festival.

Jennifer resides in Knoxville, Tennessee, with her husband, Arthur, and their Shih Tzu, Karl.
