  3. Submit an Event Request Form. Requests are reviewed in the order they’re received and granted based on availability of your chosen space. The form includes further directions about room selection and availability.
  4. Recitals require faculty approval; your applied instructor(s) will automatically be prompted for their approval once you’ve submitted your Event Request Form. After they approve, our staff will review your request. You’ll receive an email notification once the event is fully approved and officially scheduled.
  5. Schedule your recital hearing with your applied faculty. The hearing should be held no less than 2 weeks prior to the recital.
  6. Submit your recital program information here. Program content is due no later than 2 weeks prior to the recital and after passing your hearing.
  7. If you have special staging, set-up, lighting, and/or technology needs that you didn’t include in your Event Request form, please contact Chris Jerger, auditoria coordinator, no later than 2 weeks prior to the recital.

Changing a Recital

Submit an Event Request Form and select “Edit Event” when prompted for your submission type and choose your recital from the Event Selection list.

If your event requires faculty approval, they will be automatically prompted once you’ve submitted your Event Request Form. After they approve, our staff will review your change request. You’ll receive an email notification once your requested change is complete.

Canceling a Recital

Once your recital is approved and scheduled, canceling it is permitted only for serious reasons and with the support and final approval of your applied instructor(s).

To cancel a recital, start a new Event Request Form and select “Cancel Event” when prompted for your submission type and choose your recital from the Event Selection list. Your supervising faculty will be automatically notified for their approval. Your paid recital fee is non-refundable unless you fail your recital hearing or the College of Music approves the cancellation/postponement for emergency reasons.
