Biography

Eliza Simikian is the Communications & Design Coordinator for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Natalie L. Haslam College of Music, where she crafts visual and editorial storytelling that supports the college’s performances, academic programs, and creative community. Her work blends strategic communication with thoughtful design to amplify the artistry, scholarship, and impact of students and faculty.

A lifelong musician, Eliza has been involved in music since childhood, a perspective that informs her approach to storytelling and allows her to communicate authentically with artists and educators alike. She brings an understanding of musical process, collaboration, and performance into her work across print, digital, and social platforms.

Eliza is a 2023 graduate of Murray State University, where she studied public relations with a minor in graphic communications. During her time there, she served as the award-winning President of her sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Vice President of the Public Relations Student Society of America, experiences that strengthened her leadership skills and passion for audience-centered messaging.

Outside of work, Eliza enjoys discovering new music, sipping iced matcha tea, singing with the Knoxville Choral Society, crocheting, and relaxing with her cat, Sir Hobbes.
