Welcome to the second annual University of Tennessee Violin Symposium and Suzuki Workshop. We are so excited for this weekend-long event featuring some of the country’s finest performers and teachers.
This year, we are excited to present our lineup of distinguished guest artists: Sila Darville (Eastern Kentucky University), Andrea Dawson (MTSU), Linda Fiore (Fiore Performing Strings), Cornelia Heard (Vanderbilt University), and Haik Kazazyan (Moscow Conservatory).
The Festival will open on Friday, January 17th, at 8 PM with a special performance featuring Maestro Fellenbaum and the UT Symphony Orchestra in Cox Auditorium in the Alumni Memorial Building. The second half of the concert will feature special guest Haik Kazazyan. On Saturday and Sunday, our renowned guest artists will teach a wide array of workshops, from a panel discussion on peak performance, to movement classes, as well as a number of masterclasses. A closing concert will include performances by faculty, as well as both our Suzuki and Symposium participants.
This event promises to be a weekend full of learning and artistry for participants of all ages and levels. We hope you will join us and share in the wonderful talents of our guests and participants!
