UT Music Professor’s Albums Reach No. 1, Remain Strong on Amazon Latin Jazz Charts

The music of Juan Carlos “JC” Quintero, director of music business and communications in the Natalie L. Haslam College of Music, continues to resonate with listeners worldwide. Two of his albums recently reached the No. 1 spot on Amazon’s Best Sellers list for Latin Jazz and remain strong on the charts.

As of September 12, Las Cumbias… Las Guitarras (2016) is holding at No. 5, with his most recent release, Desserts (2023), charting at No. 12. This sustained recognition across multiple projects highlights Quintero’s enduring impact as both an artist and educator.

A world-renowned Latin Jazz recording artist with more than a dozen albums to his name, Quintero is no stranger to industry recognition.
