College Tours

From personalized visits to full-day experiences, we invite you to step into the rhythm of campus life and see where your music journey could begin.

Undergraduate Visit Experiences

For first-year or transfer undergraduate students, we offer three ways to explore life on Rocky Top as a Music Vol. Each visitation day has limited spots. We recommend scheduling early to reserve your preferred date.

Music Major for a Day

Get a true sense of what it’s like to be a music major at UT! Our staff will work with you to set a personalized schedule of activities, such as sitting in on classes, attending rehearsals, meeting with faculty, and touring our beautiful facilities.

Offered: Select weekdays during the fall and spring semesters

Registration: Please request your Music Major for a Day experience at least three weeks in advance of your visit.

Daily Building Tour

This is a one-hour guided tour led by our student ambassadors, featuring a short informative presentation, a walkthrough of our state-of-the-art facilities, and a Q&A session.

Offered: Weekdays during the fall and spring semesters

Registration: Building Tour registration is available until spots are fully booked, and must be scheduled at least three days in advance.

Tour +

In addition to the Daily Building Tour, you’ll choose and participate in one of our many performance ensembles! Our staff will work with you directly to match you with an ensemble that aligns with your interests and schedule.

Offered: Weekdays during the fall and spring semesters

Registration: Please request your Tour + experience at least one week in advance of your visit.
