Jack Roben is a Lecturer of Jazz Guitar at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He completed a Bachelor of Music at the University of North Texas, where he was a member of the Grammy-nominated One O'Clock Lab Band. As a member of the One O'Clock he performed with Stefon Harris, headlined the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival, and is featured on the recording Lab 2017. 

Jack continued his academic studies in jazz at the University of Northern Colorado, receiving a Master of Music degree and studying with Professor Steve Kovalcheck. As a member of the UNC Lab I, he performed with Benny Golson, Don Aliquo, Dick Oatts, and Carmen Bradford. Jack performed regularly in the Denver metropolitan area with Ben Markley, Tom Amend, and Greg Gisbert among others. 

Jack was born and raised in Seattle, Washington.
