Shelby Berkley is a first-year Graduate Teaching Assistant in Choral Conducting. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in music education. While at UT, he was a member of Chamber Singers, Men's Chorale and VOLume. Mr. Berkley has been head of Choral Activities at West Valley Middle School. He is also a leader in the Church Street United Methodist Church Youth Choir.
Mitchell Moore is a second-year Graduate Teaching Assistant pursuing a master’s degree in Choral Conducting. Originally from Tifton, Georgia, Mitchell earned his bachelors degree in Choral Music Education at Georgia College and State University, where he served as Choral Librarian, Student Conductor of University Chorus and Max Noah Singers, and was a founding member of The Cat’s Meow a cappella group. After graduating, he served as Director of Choral Activities and Musical Theatre at Howard High School in Macon, Georgia from 2015-2018. During this time, he conducted the world-premiere of October Sun by Daniel Elder, was Co-Chair of the District XI High School Honor Choir, a member of the Choral Society of Middle Georgia, a chorister in Mercer University’s Carnegie Hall performance of Verdi’s Requiem, a chorus member of the Alliance Theatre’s production of Candide (Atlanta), as well as a baritone in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Mitchell is a proud member of the National Association of Music Educators and the Georgia Music Educators Association.
