Position: Musicology/Historical Musicology/Ethnomusicology Faculty. Tenured or Tenure Track. Open Rank.
Duties: Teach musicology courses for music majors, music Masters students, and for the wider university population. Actively contribute to the research profile of the College and the University. Participate in service activities as appropriate to rank.
- Develop new, introductory-level, large-volume, online course on an innovative topic, appealing to undergraduates, including non-majors, that complements current offerings.
- Teach undergraduate core courses in historical musicology/ethnomusicology, depending on areas of specialization.
- Teach special topics seminars in areas of expertise or as needed by the College, for upper-level undergraduate and Masters students in music.
- Supervise Masters theses in Musicology and participate in Masters-level committees.

Position: Open Rank Position in Music Education
Duties: Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in elementary music education, leading graduate courses in areas of expertise, coordinating field experience internships, and supervising student teachers/interns.
The successful candidate will actively participate in professional development for elementary/general music educators, develop regional and national visibility as an elementary/general music educator, and develop and maintain positive relationships with inservice music educators. The candidate is also expected to serve on graduate committees and participate in various education and professional development opportunities including TMEA (ETGMEA), ACDA, CNAfME, and NAfME.
Assistant Professor of Jazz Guitar
Position: Assistant Professor of Jazz Guitar
Duties: Teach guitar to undergraduate and graduate jazz performance majors.
Work with the jazz program concerning the placement and performance of guitar students within the ensembles. Coach small/large jazz ensembles. As needed, teach courses including improvisation, jazz theory, class guitar and lessons, and other courses within the jazz area.
Work closely with jazz faculty regarding recitals, hearings and juries, and perform in the faculty jazz ensemble. Maintain a record of national and international research/creative/scholarly activity while participating in service appropriate for a university faculty member. Work collaboratively with other College of Music faculty to sustain and support the quality and enrollment of both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Position: Assistant Director of Recruitment
Duties: This position is the lead recruiter for the NLHCOM and is responsible for administration of the NLHCOM tour program, assisting in leading the NLHCOM Ambassador program, assisting in all audition/interview day planning and execution, and partnering with faculty, staff, and student ambassadors to create meaningful experiences for prospective students. This person will serve as the head administrator of the Community Music School (CMS) and serve as an admissions representative for the NLHCOM.
