Biography
Lindsay Burke-Melton serves as Director of Finance and Administration at the Natalie L. Haslam College of Music at University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she provides strategic leadership across finance, operations, human resources, and organizational planning. With more than 15 years of progressive experience in higher education administration, she is recognized for combining a strong commitment to continuous learning with disciplined execution, translating long-range vision into sustainable financial and operational systems that support academic innovation and institutional growth.

Her experience spans complex budget development, resource allocation modeling, salary and equity studies, capital and facilities planning, and enterprise process improvement across multiple academic units. She holds an Executive MBA and a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies with a concentration in Economics from the University of Tennessee and is committed to building resilient administrative operations that enable long-term institutional success.
