Biography

Jenny Cross serves as the Director of Admissions & Student Engagement for the Natalie L. Haslam College of Music, where she leads recruitment, admissions, and student engagement initiatives designed to support prospective and current students throughout their collegiate journey. In this role, she works closely with faculty, staff, and students to create meaningful experiences that reflect the excellence, camaraderie, and community of the College of Music.

A two-time graduate of the University of Tennessee, Jenny holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. She brings over 16 years of experience working with middle school, high school, and college students to her current role, along with a passion for supporting students by creating accessible resources and experiences for them. Jenny returned to the University of Tennessee in August 2024 as the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and moved into her current position the following August.

Jenny is a Tennessee native and longtime Vol who lives in Knoxville with her husband, two sons, and rescue dog. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, trying new recipes, tackling home improvement projects, and spending time with her family. She is grateful to be back on Rocky Top, supporting music students as they pursue their artistic and academic goals. Go Big Orange!
