Lori Brown is the First Year Experience Coordinator for the School of Music. Her duties include recruiting, retaining and advising students as well as establishing an online presence for the School of Music.

Lori comes to UT after serving as an adjunct professor in Communication at George Mason University (Washington, DC) and Northern Virginia Community College (Annandale, VA). She holds a Bachelors of Science in Communication as well as a Master of Science with an emphasis in Communication from UT.

During her undergraduate career, Lori was very active within the band program at Tennessee. She played euphonium as a member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band, the White pep band, the volleyball pep band, and the men's basketball pep band. Lori met her husband Chad Brown while marching in the band.
